The Australasian Institute for Learning Enhancement (AILE) was established in 1997 with the intention of being an organisation that facilitated the growth and availability of Feuerstein's methodology and programmes throughout the region. We see the need for cooperative effort, effective networking, coordination of activity and the establishment of local support for practitioners.
A team of highly competent trainers has been assembled to provide training at locations throughout the region in Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) and in Feuerstein's theory of Mediated Learning Experience and how MLE may be applied effectively in contexts beyond FIE.
Of greatest importance to AILE is the maintenance of the high standards of excellence that Professor Feuerstein has established. We recognise that his ideas and his programmes are vulnerable to misuse by those who are not well trained. We strive to ensure those who undertake training (the professionals and other persons who have the learning interests of an individual at heart) have sufficient familiarity with the theoretical underpinnings and sufficient competency in MLE to ensure they are effective practitioners.
AILE also aims to assist individual learners, and those who represent their interests, to locate suitably qualified FIE practitioners within their locality. Similarly we aim to assist people within the region who would wish to locate those who are qualified in learning propensity assessment (LPAD).
